yj frame is it 4 or 6

i searched in google and i searched in a couple different forums and i cant find what i am looking for

i bought a new frame for my yj and the guy i bought it from couldn't tell me what kinda engine it had on it my yj has a 6 how can i tell if this frame was for a 4 or a 6 i looked at mine and it seems like the mounts are in the same place, any info would be greatly appreciated

The frame is the same, the only difference is the placement of the motor mounts. The four bangers sit farther back than the sixes. I dont know the measurements at this time but can take some off my four in a bit if needed. If the new one looks like your old one you should be just fine.

i would really like to know the placement of the 4 bangers, and is it an obvious difference and i knew the frame it self was the same my questioning was on the motor mount brackets

the 6 cyl mounts are approx. 34 inches back from the front of the frame horn to the center of the mount.
