YJ Driveline issues

Hey Guys, I got my YJ from a used dealer about 5 monthes ago, with it already having a 4" suspension lift and 33"s. I didnt know much about jeeps at the time, and after about a month dropped my first driveshaft, by braking the straps. I have since then dropped it 8 times, along the way installing a SYE kit, the CV style shaft, and even the more heavy duty rear yoke with U-bolt style straps. Well as i was driving it to my local 4x4 shop to have them inspect my angles, The ear of the new CV shaft snapped, the u joint never left the yoke as the u bolts didnt break.

The only thing i can think to try next is to tow it to the shop and have them look at my rear axle. Whoever put the lift kit in welded the axle U bolts (at the bend) to the axle, and it looks like he might have angled my pumpkin himself. But even having said that, shouldnt the SYE kit and CV shaft reduce my angle?

Any tips are greatly apprieciate it
Larry

Post some pics of the pinion angle. It sounds like it is off pretty bad. The SYE and CV shaft will not solve all the driveline angle issues.

Horsepower is like a hot girl with STDs. You know you want to hit it but you're afraid of the consequences.

Post better pictures. Maybe tie a piece of yarn from different yoke to transfer case output shaft? A side profile (of the three items together) would really illustrate what's needed to answer your question.

If you need to drive it to the shop, pull the rear shaft, put in 4X4 Hi, and head out. Drive easy, no hotrodding.

418 miles on 19 gallons of gas. Can't beat the BBD !
