Aaron...I'm loving the taillights, but what do you mean by "dovetailing" your Jeep?

I'll be narrowing the rear section of the tub. The sides from the end of the center hoop of the cage to the back of the jeep with angle in. We'll be cutting out 14" from each side were the old brake lights were. Actually I don't remember exactly how much we're cutting out.
I also don't think i'll ever pass another jeep running those tail lights.

Looks good Aaron.
Are you going to stretch it out along with the dovetail? Doug

No, the stretch isn't in the budget just yet. It is one of the "long-term" plans though. Doug you should throw up a pic of yours so those who haven't seen a dove tail before will know kinda where mine is going. I think ours will look diff since mine is getting lots of body work.

It has multiple benefits. The body is out of the way so less likely to get damaged on obstacles. It allows for more tire clearance since it gives more room for compression since the body isn't over the tire. When you run very little lift (me 5.5" and 36's) this is necessary if I want much compression.
Truth be told I'm also doing it because no one else around here ever has. Doug thanks for the pics, we'll see how mine turns out. It should look at least decent we're taking our time. Besides in your case no need for body work isn't yours strictly trail?

Yeah, mine doesn't see any pavement. I think if I put any time into the body, I know I'd crunch it the next time out! So I don't bother wasting my time.
Doug Edit: How do you plan on doing the cage?
