YJ Dash Light Cluster Wiring Help needed Pic's included

I’m in the middle of a dash conversion and need some help with understanding how the instrument cluster works where the turn signal lights, etc are…

I have a Haynes manual but I still don’t understand the schematic so, hopefully someone can shed some light on it for me.

Here’s a pic of what I’m faced with (the dash light panel).

There are 2 plugs that plug into this cluster that feed the lights with the signal ground, etc. from both passenger and drivers side.

Now my question is where are the 2 plugs going? One plugs in from the driver’s side going to what appears to be a relay, fuse block or the lights themselves. The other side (passenger side) gets routed into a spliced loom that looks like it goes back out to the fire wall or something.

Is it an in line splice going from the feed to the actual bulb?
Or are they feeds coming from two different parts of the jeep? Seeing that I only have left/right turn, 4wd ind, e-brake, high beam and i think engine indicator light and the rest are not used is the other feed just ran in the harness for other models with more bells and whistles wired into them?

Thank you all for you input on this in advance! This is that part that's confusing the heck out of me!

Had some problems with mine so I'll tell you what I know, right side seems to control right turn signal, I think 4WD, and maybe hi beam indicators, left side the rest or vice versa, I'd have to go sit in the jeep and think about it, but anyway it seems to be split, left side bulbs controlled by left plug, right side right plug.

That's what I was thinking. It'll just take some time to pin it all out with some trial and error I guess.

Why not just run a current through the board and see what lights up from the pins? You can use a simple light bulb w/ a set of wires going to a ground and the other to the pin, and then a 12V lead to the board...?

Thank you... I ended up just toning out the individual lights. It was easy enough. Now, I have to figure out the darn Tachometer. Do you know anything about the wiring on the by any chance....?
