well today i got the d30 out and cut off all the old brackets. This would have taken forever if i didn't have a plasma cutter. Tomorrow i will start in on the links.

today i got a little bit closer to getting this thing done. I removed the stock steering box and installed the astro box. I then started setting up the links, i got the mounts all tacked in place and all the tube cut and tacked. I cycled the suspension and checked for clearance. I had a few issues but nothing major. Tomorrow i have to make a new draglink, and figure out my trackbar maybe i'll get around to making the shock tower for the coilovers.

jason.

Ya i used the astro van box, in that pic i didnt have it at full stuff. i still have to notch the frame for the tie rod and drag link to clear. i think it must have been the angle of the pic cause i have plenty of clearance.

after installing the astro steering box i decided i didnt like the way my draglink was and the pitman arm just seemed too far in front for my liking. I really didnt want to chance hitting it on rocks. I opted to use the stock steering box and move it forward on the frame. This turned out to work out a lot better and it looks cleaner to me.

I took it out for a test drive before christmas and it was darting all over the road so i rechecked all of the alignment and a couple things were off. Today i went and started looking at every piece of the suspension and found the bushing on my trackbar had too much play so i replaced them. I took the jeep out for a drive again and didnt have any problems. Now i just have to work on my fuel cell then take it to a shop for alignment and i'll get to start driving this thing again.
