Okay soooo....
I Just bought my first jeep and wow can you say rust! It's a 91 and I'm currently in the process of resorting it. I've just torn her completely down and starting to fix her.
My million dollar question is how hard is it to do a dash conversion? The metal part in my yj dash is shot with rust and needs replacing. I figured that if I'm going to replace it anyways I might as well make it a cj dash, but how much is this going to run me and where can I get parts for it? Also if anyone knows some good threads to help me with the build that would be awesome
I'll update with some pictures of my current dash too

from FAQ. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f12/y...ctures-634392/
it seems pretty straight forward. you can also google the swap and there are some good write ups as well.

dont know if the cj dash will fit .If you are wanting that look go down to the metal store and get a piece of steel sheet the size you need and copy the cj dash on to the sheet metal and mark all the hole an cut them out .

Dash before...
Here is what my dash looked like before. I decided since it was in this bad of shape I would do a complete metal one.
The one from Double D Fab looks great IMO and I am really excited to get it on and back together. It might be a few weeks before I get to it bc I have a ton of other work to do on the JEEP. Once I am finished I think this dash is guna look sick tho
Thanks for reading.

I finally painted the dash and am almost ready for the install. The dash itself has been sitting in my garage for a few months now just waiting. The hold up was my jeep build. The Jeep had quiet a bit of work to do and Im glad to say its almost over.
I will be getting all my gauges and indicator lights soon. Just purchased them yesterday.
Here are some photos...enjoy

I put this question up in a new thread hoping to get a faster response, but maybe someone here can help too.
I decided to get some new gauges. Aftermarket Autometer designer black ones to be specific.
Now all the gauges I purchased are Electrical. Mechanical are what was in the 91 yj originally. The big question is how do I wire all this junk up Thats putting it simply
I had to get Electrical because they only had electrical in the 3 3/8 size speedo I needed.
Looks pretty sweet dont it Now if I can only hook it up.
These are my indicator lights. I got two green, one amber, one Red, one White, and one Blue. They are from www.K-four.net They are the chrome 214 series. They are .312 diameter hole size ones
