I remember the first year I ever rounded the corner of the Halloween isle to just to come face to face with a Christmas isle. I remember saying to my buddy, "well we found the edge of the universe. It's when Christmas somehow touches Halloween. Like a freaking wormhole..."

I don't care about skipping thanksgiving though. It's not really fun with my family, so I prefer to just amp up for the Christmas season. It makes me happy.

If you guys want pictures of good home cooking, Mary-Loiuse Parker did a shoot a number of years ago. Best fried green tomatoes in the state.
