Yeah everything else is fine. I knew I was going to need a new cover eventually. I was just hoping it would at least hold fluid lol

If its a TJ shaft it will have a bigger joint, but I'm not sure on the XJ years. Ill look it up when I get to work. Thanks for doing the foot work Mike

Looks like in 96 is when the XJ started going to the 760 u-joint. Its a 50/50 split in 96.

Might be a stupid question but did the 96+ XJs come with 760's standard? From what I can gather there was a mix between 297 and 760s.

I'm not sure man. I think I've read after 96 they're all 760s.

I have found that '95+ xj's have the larger ujoints and all Cherokees with abs even the two piece passenger shaft models
