Hate to see take the jeep down. Hard to believe its totaled. If I was closer I help you move some of the parts.

Dang sparrows I'm sorry to hear this.. I can't believe that caused that much damage. It's certainly not fair, especially to me being that I won't get to see your beautiful YJ anymore.

Haha but seriously If I can help at all, let me know.

I got to go on a rescue run Saturday! One of our wheeling buddies was up on Red/Coyote lake trail in the Sierra's & blew the planetary gears in his Tcase (Chevy pick-up) another buddy found one on CL in our town, told the guy what was going on and that we didn't have the money for it now, but the guy who needed it would pay when he got back off the trail & the guy actually let us take it! (still some good people out there) So we loaded up in my buddies JKU and headed up. We got there & Dennis had the Tcase out & disassembled on his tailgate. The new case had a different input shaft so he disassembled the new case and put the input from the old case into the new one, put it back together and slapped it in while I drank beer & watched worked like a charm & and got off the trail by 6PM, Home by 10PM. And to think, I was going to spend the day floating in the pool drinking beer.........

Thanks for all the support guys. I'm trying to remain optimistic about it. I've learned a lot and I'm confident that I will enjoy building another one! When money permits of course....

Cheers

Sparrows that's terrible. after you sell off all those parts, will you get to keep the jeep? or does that go away too?? how can I help?

I find it hard to throw out the broken junk I replace... I could never part out my jeep. I'd live in a cardboard box first.

edit: woops I guess you just answered my question...darn.

Guess I had to catch up a little. I'm really sorry that happened to you Sparrows. I'm sure you'll build a new rig better than the last. You got all the hiccups out of the way with this one so you'll know exactly the route to take with the new one. Keep hope alive buddy!

Thanks man. That's my hopes too. I'm really trying to keep a positive attitude the best that I can right now.

Cheers

Yeah, I'm still sorry Sparrows. Really wish I could've gotten some of that PBR stuff to cheer you up. No changing an 84 year old mans mind though.

So the track bar in the truck has zero movement. I drilled out the lower bushing sleeve to accept a 7/16" bolt and that sucker is in there good. Had some of my uncles friends come over and look at it. They narrowed it down to the tres as the ball joints are stout.

Would one of those rustys kits or something work on that?

Yes I know it's the wrong section an even the wrong place but those other sections are dark scary places that suck the life out of you without answers.
