man, I havent put a wrench on my Jeep for a couple weeks. Last time was to adjust my steering box brace because it kept sliding down and catching the pitman arm. And I have a nice new 2" t-case skid that needs installed. A motor swap will burn you out...

Well welcome to the cool kids table! We may give you a bit of flack and all that, but everyone here is always eager to help out!

Randon: dude I feel ya. Haven't done the motor swap (yet!) But I feel like my jeep has been a 7 day a week job for going on 4 months now or whatever. With no end in sight lol. My only saving grace is that I get out and wheel it couple times a week. If it wasn't for that and the rest of the yj guys here, I'd probably just burn it down lol.

Cheers

I think If I wheeled mine more often I would want to do even more to it.

I've been basically done building my Jeep for a few years now.
But I still look at...stuff.
Those 4 link suspensions call to me strong. The cost(OMG).
Those HID lights do the same, but I do not wheel in the dark enough to justify it.
Leather seats. I want leather seats in my jeep.

I need new lights. Tail lights. My lite dots suck. So that will most likely be next. I need to drill holes in 1/4 inch armor to do it so a bigger deal than I wish.

Beautiful jeep, but 2 ton axles with 5.16 gears? Am I missing something?

It also has the obligatory Wench on the front

4 links:
It really isn't the heim joints and steel pipe that is cost prohibitive but the shocks and springs.

I passed on the wheels. A little to "mall" for me. I have the soft 8's now and they are...just rims.

There was this one time I was glad I had steel cheapo rims...
I just hammered on it until it held air, and went about my business. It was replaced with new, though.
(VERY glad I have an OBA that can set a bead.)
