My wife put some mailers out for a fundraiser we are working on for our daughters dojo. She comes back in the house and shortly goes back to the box to add a couple more and lo and behold, they are gone. A quick review of our video cameras shows a woman driving up the street on the sidewalk helping her big *** self to our goods. Unbelievable. Video was turned over to our local boys. Hopefully they'll have some luck.

Lemme get this straight: someone took your mail out of your mailbox? That's a felony. By the looks of the rims its probably a Mexican and they don't understand the word "felony". I had breakfast with a deputy friend of mine (one that doesn't drive a jeep) and he said he busted a guy with five felony counts of burglary and the guy did six months and was out robbing people again.

California doesn't punish those who break the law.

Yep, never even got out of the car and she wasn't a Mexican...She is a 200+ pound entitled individual. And the system is one of the reasons I left the force. You work so hard to find the bad guy, prosecute them and the system lets em' loose. Bummer.

The great uniting factor is that we are all jeepers at heart and are willing to help each other out even if its just a little. That's what the jeep wave is all about: community. The wave is the tip of the iceberg.

When are we bringing back the death penalty? The state wouldn't be so broke if they'd stop paying for all of the lifers.

Adopt your pets. Don't shop for them.

Here's MY PORN!

Out in the desert, I ALWAYS drive around the old abandoned places for signs and crap. LOOK what I found this time...

Yes boys, that's a Porsche 356 that hasn't been registered since 1987.

I pinned it on my GPS map, and got the address. I have my guy running a property report on the home to find the owner and see if they are ready to sell. I'd pop for 10K as is. Maybe more depending on options and engine.

To me, rescuing a car like that is sooooo rewarding.

Random... First sketch-up of the box design. I got the measurements (minus the width) from one of those behind-the-seat YJ dual 10" sub enclosures they sell on eBay....

Early estimates for measurements are:

Width 17 x Height 15-1/2 x Top Depth 7-1/4" x Bottom Depth 10-3/4"

Meaning with 3/4'' MDF I'm at around 0.80729cu.ft

Minus approx. 0.05cu.ft for the sub itself and I sit right at/above the recommended 0.75cu.ft for this sub.

the height says 15-1/2, but this will be downfiring so I only accounted for 13-1/2 in the calculation with he the remaining 2'' of height keeping the box/sub 2'' off the floor in case of dirt/rain etc getting in there...

Playing with Sketch Up for the first time I got this:

And because this is a long post full of numbers let me make up for it with these:
