YJ built on a TJ frame?

I recently bought a 91 YJ but the frame is rotted and has been poorly repaired previously to the point that I am thinking about replacing the frame altogether. I have found a TJ frame but I don't know if I can swap it over or not. I know one is leaf springs and one is coils. Any ideas?

It could be done, but it's not going to just go right on, there will be a lot of work involved.

around here you can find yj frames for around $250. swapping a yj body onto a tj tub is going to be more work than it's worth.

yj body on a TJ frame

Not that hard. Several have done it and it came out great. The back four mounts line up. The front mounts will need to be moved about 3 CM. The gas tank works if you use flex hoses. You might have to trim the inner front fenders a bit to clear. I have a TJ frame in my back yard that I am in the process of doing this swap. I have done a lot of measuring and I think this will be an easy swap. There is a Lincoln here on a F250 frame and that was not that hard. Anything can be done it just depends on how bad you want it.
