YJ build what now?

Ok I bought my Jeep in Nov 07 and have since installed a 4" lift ,33" boggers and bumpers. now that It looks the way I want I'd like it to function and perform the way I want too . she's got stock axles and drivetrain,so ... well let's go this way first..... Is the 30 or the 35 the week link I've heard both and want to swap sooner probably later as funds are short so what shoul I be aiming for first? I've got 3.07 gears which suck hard core and no sye . what can I do on a little...tiny budget?

SYE & XJ shaft shouldn't run you more than about $400 or so. You could buy the parts a little at a time to spread things out a bit on your budget.

Could look for a D30 out of a 4cyl YJ that has 4.10 gears, then find an 8.8 with 4.10s to match. If you want to go further you could swap in TJ shafts into the D30 and do a block off plate to get rid of the vaccum. Then just get the brackets and everything for the 8.8. Upgrade gears and rear axle at the same time.

Nutter bypass.
4.0 head swap.
Team rush upgrade.
All three of those can be done for under $400 and the performance gains are remarkable!

I've heard the D30s can hold up to 37s with no issues, and the turdy five, you should be okay with depending on how you drive/wheel, but I would definately swap in for an 8.8 if you get the chance.

White 90 YJ...Soft/Hardtop, 31" BFGs, 3.5" lift, Rebuilt 4.2L, Weber 34/34, Herc'd

LOOKING FOR 4cyl axles F/R, 4.10s, will trade for my 3.07s complete

Also need 16x8 rims with less backspacing

Call a salvage yard or hit up Craigslist. You should be able to get the assembled head and exhaust manifold for less than $150.
On ebay you can get a remanufactured head with the holes welded up for $400 I believe. But if you can do the work yourself you can do the entire thing for under $200.

Ditch the 35 first... try a Dana 44, or a Ford 9"
