YJ almost overheating

I have a 93 YJ and lately it has been running hotter and hotter. not quite to the point that I have to turn the heat on but at about 3/4 of the guage.

The coolant level is fine.

It does not always do it but when it does, normally after a long city drive, when I turn it off, I can hear the rad and overflow going nuts for a good couple of minutes.
Could it actually be getting hotter than it is reading? Do other YJs also do this? I have had this heep for like 7 years and never noticed this before.

Thanks

All engines heat soak when turned off. You have all the heat and no coolant or air flow when you shut it down. Do the flush and thermostat. You should be between 195-210.
