Yes there is a size limit. You can use Microsoft office 2010. Right click the picture from the menu select open with Microsoft Office 2010 it will display the picture.
Top menu select Picture. From the dropdown select at the bottom Compress Pictures

Right side menu select Compress for Web Pages.

Save to a file and when you go to post on line use the compressed picture and it will post

Looks like a stepper motor
An 85 model truck could have easily been a computer controlled carb
I'm thinking that's not the carb you want
If someone knows how to make it work correctly and can chime in, go for it

I'm Partial to the aftermarket Holley's tho

In the interest of keeping cost low- I am just curious. Why didn't you just buy the carb from the eBay carb guy that is mentioned in dozens of recent posts here and on other threads? Then you know it works, it's new, and you won't have to buy anything else to fix it or replace it later. Just wondering.

I am a master of doing stuff on the cheap- a friend who is GM-certified, ASE and all that calls me The King Of Cheap. In your circumstance if I couldn't get one from a local scrap yard and rebuild it myself I would have just bought the new carb from eBay???

I digress. I applaud your carb retrofit. Simple and cheap. With more rectangular dollars even I will admit there are better ways, but to just start rolling down the road you are on the path of the least expenditure. It can be argued that it comes with compromises, but carburetors have been working for over 100 years!

Im going to try this carburetor out and hope I can get it to work. If I can't get it to work I will go the same route as many others and purchase it from the EBay guy.

Ok I was going to purchase the CRT HEI distributor from Ebay and decided to ask the seller if it will work on my 4.0L 242 motor since it wasnt listed as an application for his listing and he said it would not fit.
It only fits the 4.2L

Does anybody know what HEI distributor I can use on this Jeep? Or what are my options?

To the best of my knowledge all HEI distributers only work on the 258 and none are avaliable for the 242

Buy a distributer for a 242. And upgrade the ignition coil

This Jeep doesnt have a harness, computer or an icm. Thats the reason I was wanting to install an hei. Can I do the same with the MSD?
