I have a 94 wrangler with a high pinion 30 in front. Are the 30s in a tj not high pinion? Are they not as strong?

so could you switch the shafts from a TJ into a YJ?

You'll be in the same position early 4x4er's were, before Warn hubs.

Your entire front driveline will be turning always.

Look for 2-3 mpg loss. Wear on the u-joints, front. Some loss of power and maybe some wear on the front tires.

The wear and drag on the TJs isn't as bad as it was with early Jeeps and PowerWagons; but it's there. My TJ daily driver...when I was shifted to a job involving a lot of highway travel, I yanked the front prop shaft. Warn hubs for the TJ are available but a low production item and $1000.

I could feel the difference. Trouble is it was a PITA to take out AND PUT IN because of the skidplate.
