YJ 02 sensor help
2 Attachment(s)
hey everyone, im new to the thread. i own a 94 yj.
so my engine mount bracket broke the other day, so i went and bought
M.O.R.E (mt off road) engine mount bracket that uses 8 holes instead of 3.
well i have a borla header on and the mount wont fit with the header. so i bought a new OEM header, the problem is i have a stright pipe back and if
i put the OEM header on and wield the exhaust i already have onto it i wont have an 02 sensor... Is this a major problem?
i dont care about inspection/ check engine light.. just motor issues

thanks everyone!

I would rather keep the headers and go with oem motor mounts. Yes you need the o2 unless you override the computer sensors that do adjustments by the o2 readings.

the problem with keeping the 3 is that 2 of the bolts are stuck inside the block, they snapped off inside of it. ( all 3 bolts did)
but i got one out and my easy out broke off in the other 2... =/
so i dont really have a choice to keep the 3. and i already bought the 300$ mounts

cant you drill a hole and add a threaded bung to install the o2 sensor. your computer needs the input to make it run properly

The O2 sensor is the primary input for controlling air fuel. Your fuel economy will go to crap. Did you try pulling the fender to get at the bolts that broke?

ive tried everything, on both bolts the eassy out snapped flush with the block, so my only option would be to drill
the whole bolt/easy out,out and re thread the hole

You need the sensor.
