Yeah, I'm headed for a SBC in the YJ

I found a SBC, trans and case for $500. I ordered the Novak engine mounts.

What else am I in for here? I can do the driveshafts, trans mount that kind of stuff. Done it once to make my TF727/NP208 combo work.

What else am I gonna go broke getting? I've never researched this subject cause I figured it would be at least a year before I jumped into this mod. Also, I just got 2 cheap propane tanks for the YJ, so it will be on pane and probably get built with higher compression for the pane.

What about the radiator? Am I gonna hate writing that check?

Unfortunately I already spent the $ on a B&M when I put the 727 in. It sucks, but that's just more money to spend to replace it right now. Hope it works on the Chevy, it had several applications and I think I kept all the little brackets.

Where can I pick up the $150 rad? I can figure out the mounts I hope.

Thanks for the info

I know I should be using search more, but it kept acting up earlier when I was looking for what mounts to order, I knew I read about the mounts but forgot who had good ones.

Well, those will just have to stay for a bit. They just got geared and locked, no way am I ready to pay to gear another set of axles.

I'm usually pretty calm with the throttle, so maybe I can make them last. They are D44 and AMC20 from a Waggy.

x2 for the Art Carr. Worth every penny. Put your B&M on Ebay.

As for the radiator, get any Chevy style 22x19 in your favorite catolog (Summit, Jeg's, ect) and make your own mounts.

What case did you get? Most fullsize Chevy cases are clocked way too low to be used in a YJ.

I hope it fits, I think it's a 205. I'll pick it up tomorrow. Guess I can see what else will work. No money for an Atlas or anything.

One of my friends has a clocked flat 205 so it is possible, but I think he's got quite a bit of time invested in it. If you don't want to go through that much work, try an upside down D300. Great case, easy to adapt to a Chevy trans and you can build it as you go.

Ok, I've got some reading to do. The trans case that came with the package deal is a NP203. It's a beast. My problem is my front D44 is from a Waggy, and is driver side drop, the 203 is passenger. I could have gotten the front D44 the guy has, but I just paid to have mine geared and locked. I need to research if my Jeep NP208 will work on the TH350 trans. My fingers are crossed.
