Xj to Yj E brake modification

I have a full cage in the Yj and it was a pain to bend my leg to the side to push down the e brake
Looking at the XJ in the driveway that Im parting I saw the rip stick style brake in there and thought that its just what I Need

Still in the XJ

Unplug the plug and remove the 3 screws holding on the trim

Set it aside

This is what you have now

Pull back the carpet to expose the mounting bolts

Empty spaces

The works

Card board on top to make templet from the bottom

Sheet metal cut and brake test fit

Bolted in

Cover on

Pulled up

Down

The underside

I did this in less then an hour. I still have to make cable stop brackets and run the cables

Me too. I originally was going to put the rip stick in the center between the seats but cables would be a bit to close to the danger zone of the rear driveshaft

Just gotta make sure you don't drag your *** into the seat now, haha.

I like it on the side like that. The cables will be the tricky part.
