Can someone give me specs on the astro van box? I know this should seem obvious, but that's what I thought about the durango box until closer research revealed it needed to be from a specific make an model.

Hard to tell from the pic what way your pitman arm is. but could you flip it upside down or get a drop pitman arm and then flip it to move the drag link up??? if you filped it maybe the bar could be bolted to the bottom instead of on top??? now that looked better maybe it would hit the frame on the pass. side???
Thanks

PS. nice YJ and I'm new to this site. I've seen it before but just now registered. I'll get some personal info up soon.

im going xj's front and trying to figure out how i can put my f150 springs in the rear.
pretty much its going to end up---

front: hp d44 dsd, astro van box, xj springs MILWrapped SOA, 1ton high steer, possibly a front sliding spring hanger box. shocks dont know about yet

rear: fullwidth F8.8, f150 springs MILWrapped SOA (havent decided on full elliptical or 3/4" due to its a DD), disk conversion, no shocks in the rear probably, and antiwrap bar.

id like to drop in a rear 60 or 60HD big spline but the 8.8 came off my truck so cant complain. as for tire size im not going to be wheeling the astro box as i cant afford tires off the bat when this is all done. but prolly going to try and run 36-40's somewhere along the line

Can you detail the steering? I am gathering parts and have never designed or built a drag link or tie rod.

I used 3/4x3/4 heims with 1.5x.250 HREW tubing with weld in bungs.

I'm actually selling all the XJ stretch parts out from under my rig including the hydro assist steering if anyone is interested.

The XJ springs stretch worked great, I'm ready to try a link suspension with coilovers now.

If anyone is interested in all the parts let me know and I'll PM you a price.

I sold all my XJ parts to another Forum member he should have them in a few days so maybe he'll post up what the part #'s are on the shocks.

I used a rear driveshaft from a M35A2 (deuce and half).

Not mine.......mine is currently tore down and getting a new cage......along with new suspension. Once I get the link suspension and coilovers done I'll need to start another thread on how to link a YJ, LOL.
