I don't know if this really adds anything but I got a front DS out of a GC and still need to grab the front output yoke. Anyway, my yoke centers are 41" and I can't run my front DS on the road because of a worn slip yoke and it is extended quite a bit. My plan was to run the GC front DS after lengthening it but I've been lazy.

Anyway, yeah you got ripped and the guy gave you the wrong driveshaft. That sucks big time. Let us know how the XJ front works out.

Ditched the idea, too expensive to lengthen the XJ DS @ $245.00 in NYC... Custom Drive Shafts sells new Tom Woods DS for $190.00.

I was so close to getting a new Tom Woods replacement for $210 shipped to my door. But a winch rebuild came about.

Finding a Wrangler in a junkyard around my area is like winning the lottery. The odds are always against you.

Seems to be the same here in the valley as well. There is even a list for Cherokees!

They are fully closed

what i meant(/assumed) was that if you have the same drive shaft it shouldnt need to be extended. but yes, different length drive shafts came in jeeps depending on engine size and transmission combo
