wrangler vs. grand cherokee

guys i just got a chuckle that i thought i'd share with ya. i was browsing the posts here on the YJ forum, then hopped over to the grand cherokee page to see what those fellas talked about and was amused, (please, no offence meant to the grand cherokee crowd)..... but over here on the YJ page, folks wanna know real nuts and bolts issues.....what clutch, suspension issues, motor swaps, how to keep a gob of mud from knocking your eye out of its socket while yer diggin deep in mud...etc....over in the grand cherokee page, those guys are asking how to replace the leather steering wheel wrap, how to keep the CD player from smokin yer CD's.....its a different world aint it........like i said, i mean no offence to anyone, i just got amused about the different folks who drive jeeps, i know there are some wrangler owners who have cherokees, id like to have one myself........

For some reason, this post makes me think of a cocked and loaded .44 Magnum................... ! Good thing you didn't say that was the TJ forum!

Hey ,Be Nice!

I have both a Grand Cherokee and a YJ in the family so I read both forums every day. There are a lot of similarities like:

How can I get more power from my Jeep:
Wrangler: I want more power to get up the hill with 35" tires.
Grand: I want a faster 1/4 mile time.

I want to lift my jeep:
Wrangler: How do I do an SOA with a 10" lift so I can fit 40s?
Grand: Can I put 2 " of lift and still keep that stock ride?

Lockers:
Wrangler: Do I lock the front or back first? Which locker is best?
Grand: Is my quadratrac a locker?

Electrical:
Wrangler: What do I do with these extra wires after my nutter bypass?
Grand: My electric seat heater stopped working. Help?

Tires/Wheels:
Wrangler: Can I fit 31s on my stock *J?
Grand: How big is a 235/75R15?

Spare Tire:
Wrangler: How do I mount my 35" spare?
Grand: Just got a new jeep. Where is the spare?

So see..... the topics are ALMOST the same.

Thanks for that great laugh this mornin' Moabster .. I really needed it.

I worked all weekend (Saturday was spent working at one of the local auction houses) .. Sunday was spent at the local wreckers pulling a Chevy 4.3l out of an 89 S-10 for my buddies Cherokee .. we also grabbed a trailing-axle out of a car for his trailer

Man, am I ever sore today! But its a good sore
