They sold you the wrong sensor! Do you hear the pump cycle when you turn the key?

Yeah the pump cycles. I took it a local shop and they said fuel pump. I think it's an original pump 20 years old plus it sat for 2 years before I got it. Makes sense with the symptoms from yesterday. I've suspected for awhile the fuel pump was going

After all that you are having a shop do the pump! You could do it. How much do they want to do the job?

You could cut the hole in the pan area and have it replaced in a couple hours.
