Wiring Questions

I have a 93 yj (s). I recently picked up a hardtop for it, the hardtop came with the tub harness and the switches for defrost and wiper. I also picked up a wiper reservoir with dual pumps. So today I finally got around to starting to install the tub harness but Ive run into a few snags that after reading multiply forums and posts I still don't have clear answers too. So heres my questions.

Question 1

I noticed when looking at the connector on the hardtop and the connector that connects the hardtop that the hardtop is wired with wires in slots 1-7 and the connector on the harness is wired in slots 1-8. My question is whats the difference? I know the top is a later model yj hardtop as it doesn't have the handle to latch it. The guy I got the top and harness from said that they went together and they do plug into each other just curious what the extra wire would be for. Could it be from a pre 92 tub? If so can I still use it? everything else seems to be the same...

Question 2

I quickly learned that my yj dash harness is not the one for a hardtop, which with a little research Ive learned that I need a dash harness from a 92-95 that supports the hardtop. What I haven't found a clear answer on is can I only use a dash harness out of a 92-95 4cyl since thats what my jeep is, or can I use one out a 92-05 6cyl?

and last but not least Question 3

Since nothing else has worked out and I didn't have time to dive into this tonight as it got dark. Since I'm switching from a single pump washer reservoir to a dual pump i would assume i don't have wiring for the second pump or will that be in the new dash harness?

Extra wire could be dome light (if equipped)

The top has a dome light, but the extra wire is on the harness side.
