Wiring

Good evening. I just acquired an 87 Wrangler YJ, and I'm having problems with wiring.
Only 1 brake light works, the blinkers don't work, nor do the headlights. When I turn the lights on, the only thing that comes on is the bright light symbol on the dashboard.
I'm not very handy, but I wanna learn, and before I start digging myself in a hole I thought I'd ask here for help.
Thanks.
