Wires were do they go?

Ok so I have been working on this jeep for a while now (over two years) between going to iraq and spending time with my autistic son, I have been slowly putting this rig back together. Now I have ran into a HUGE problem. I have these wires that I have no idea were they go to. I do believe they are for the ignition somewere as my jeep doesn't start right now. I am looking for were the green one and the orange one goes. The two that are bent up are. Can someone out there help me out.... maybe chase there wires and tell me were theirs go. I have an 88 YJ with a straight 6 in it. Thanks for the help.

The light green wire appears to go to the relay under the battery. It is on the bottom, outboard pin on mine.

The orange wire goes to the distributor. It is one that gets bypassed when you do the nutter mod.

BTW, just went out into 25 degree weather with 22 knots of wind to check this out. Hope the weather is better there.

Old4X I do want to thank you for the help. So you are saying that the orange one is not needed if the nutter mod is done. is that right? And I will run the light green wire to the relay tonight. Next question is seeing how I am not the best electrition out there. will any post on the relay work or do I need to make sure I put it on a certain one?
Again thats for going out in the cold for me braw.

It really needs to be on the correct post. The relay has several circuits in it, and you have to wire it correctly.

And the orange wire is not used post Nutter. If you back trace it, you will see it goes to the computer under the glovebox. So just terminate it and bury it in the loom.

Old4x are you talking about the starter relay or the other thing that was right under the battery box? I pulled my battery and there is no relay under there. The reason I am asking all these questions is because I still cannot start my jeep. When I try to start it I don't get anything from the starter. I get dash lights, what few I have and that is about it. It started before I put it in the garage over two years ago, but I do remember one late night thinking there was way to many wires in here that just dont go to anything. I really dont need this or that. Well come to find out I DID need at least one of those wires. Being so long ago I dont know were they went to and I don't have the monies to send it to a mechanic to fix my f-up. So I either try to fix it or I build a second garage to put the other car in.

I do not have a factory service manual for the jeep yet, so I can't verify the part. What I have is a silver colored relay about 1.5" X 2.5". It has 5 -7 wires connected to it (dark, cold, no glasses, and I was focused on the light green wire).

My guess is it is the starter relay, not to be confused with the starter solenoid on the starter.
