wiper questions

Ok this is another stupid question, but I haven't had my Jeep long and I am still learning. I need to remove my windshield wiper arms. How do they come off? I don't see a cap to remove for a nut. Am I just having trouble getting the cap off, or is there a pin that holds them on?

There is sort of a hooked tab that closes down over the lip of the splined shaft. You need to push the tab back as you pull. The tab sticks out..or inward. On the side that the arm goes out to.

The o's are the splined shaft...the lines are the clip

oooo WIPER ARM GOS OUT THIS WAY...

The arms are splined so you need to pull them straight up. Using a screwdriver helps get them started.

As I recall, there is a small hole in the wiper arm; pull the wiper forwards off the windshield, place a nail or something similar in the hole, release the wiper arm, then pull/wiggle the arm off of the post.
