x2, if you remove the padding from the main bar, you can remove the little post they mount to as well - also only one bolt each.

X2 and removing the posts cuts down on the whistling when the windshield is down.

Thanks for the ideas! I'll get the CJ knobs on order, but I'm still up in the air about the roll bar spreader bar. I was thinking about sectioning out a 6" piece near the windshield bracket and sleeve it with a larger (on the outside) 12" tube. Then using the same CJ knobs, drill and tap, and then I would have my quick disconnect for the spreaders. Anyone done this? I use those bars to attach my bimini top when driving around daily because it's easy to take off and put on.

I use a CJ style bikini top. No spreader bar needed for the original bikini top.
