Wind Channel Question

My 89 YJ has the hardtop. I just got a bikini top and my question is this. If I put the wind channel on will I run into problems with the channel being on, and then placing the hard top above the channel? Any advice would be helpful. Iím not to sure how this set up works.
Thanks
J

your hard top WILL NOT fit with the channel... i tried even trimmed it -- i needed a new one either way the next spring, it will either not go on or will leak if you do get it on, i used self tapping bolts now-- about double the original amount that way it is removable, i used to have the old one pop-rivited but drilling them out every fall sucked, a frind of mine used drywall anchors and went all the way through the frame worked well, i also put a foam weather strip under mine rather then silicone, when i used slicone it got into the frame and it has since started to rust, i am not sure on the foam, but so far hasnt seemed to leak

JeepFreak,
Thanks a bunch for the advice. I will look into the drywall anchors. Good idea!
