Does anyone know the specs on the fuel pump relay for 89yj? A pic would also
help. Thanks.

It's part number is 56002958


The same part number relay is also used for your idle speed control.


No. of Volts: 12; No. of Terminals: 5; No. of Amps: 30 Amp

I went to Autozone and they have a different version. It has 4 prongs

I went to autozone and the relay in the pic is $17. I went to Radioshack and bought a SPST for $6. Please see the pid for the Radioshack
diag. Can I use this relay for the fuel pump?

you need the five prong.

i always grab a fist full of those relays when i'm at the salvage yard. they're pretty standard in the automotive industry.

the fuel pump relay in my '92 is a 5 prong.... as are all of them in the PDC if I remember correctly....

Yes they are. You only use 4 out of the 5 connections.
