will i need rear shock relocation brackets?

doing an 8.8 swap. i got 3.5" BDS 1" BL and 5/8" booms. if i want to put bottom of shock mounts flush with bottom of axle tube will i need some upper relocation brackets like the MORE ones? anyone else make them?

If you relocate the lower shock mounts you will most likely need to either modify the upper shock mounts or get different shocks unless you want the shocks to bottom out when compressed.

You're on the right track.

Raising the lower mount up ~2.5-3" is certainly going to make a difference on how close the shocks will be to bottoming out. Taller bumpstops *can* reduce the risk of bottoming the shocks out, but as a guess you want to take advantage of all the suspension travel there is.

So yep, you'll want to do something as far as either relocating the upper mount up higher or devise another shock mounting system.

Remember that you'll want to keep the shocks as perpendicular as possible to the natural cycle of the suspension so that you take advantage of their stroke and effectiveness.

Your rear shock absorbers should be mounted as far outboard as possible as well, and in as close to perpendicular to the travel of the suspension. Referring to the location of the shackles, you’ll want to rake the shock absorbers forward or aft-ward appropriately.

Joe, how do you feel about mounting the shocks like I stated earlier? Something like this:
