Who's runnin 2.5, ax5, 4.88s and 35"s???
Anyone running the 2.5l with 5 speed, 488 gears and 35" tires?
Hows the performance? would you recommend the 35s or 33's? Dont worry people, the rear is a D44 and front 30. thanks

I'm running 4:56 and 36's in mine. It has a 2.5 it runs good, but never use 5th gear and it tops out at a woping 60ish mph but I wish I had a little bigger gear but wouldent trade tire sizes. You should be fine with 35's

Don't know about 35's but my 33's are much happier with the 4:88's. I can only think that 35's & 4:88's would be about the same as my 33's were with 4:10's not great.
31's & 4:10's very drivable and fun 33's & 4:10's not much fun and SLOW 33's & 4:88's WOW MORE FUN and very drivable again 35's & 4:88's not much fun and SLOW " I Think "

Seems like performance varies from Jeep to Jeep, but I run this exact set-up without any issues. The jump from 33's to 35's was hardly noticeable for me. If anything, it was as if I had the same performance I had with my 33's with the stock TB before I added a 4.0 TB (If that makes any sense to you, lol) Hit any longer inclines, and it slows down, but I still hold the speed limit most the time. Higher elevations kill me though... 35's with the AX5 definitely isn't the strongest set-up, but doable. Now towing the amounts of weight I have in the past, with the AX5 and 35's, probably not such a great idea ![]() All in all, I drive the living hell out of mine and I get around fine

Go with the 35's. I have run both 33's and 35's and like the bigger tires better. I can still run 75 mph on flat ground in 5th gear without a big head wind.

35's, 5.12's 70 MPH no problem. As for the AX5 it is not the best transmission out there but I am 4 years + on this setup now.

im running 4.88s and 33's and i like it. Although i can only top out at 70 but anything after 60 has a bad death wobble.
