The easiest way to put the keepers back in is from the bottom. I used a pair of 90 degree needle nose pliers to get mine in. They don't fall out as long as the spring clips are in good shape. If you take a look at how they go in before you put the handle in the door, you can be sure that they are snapping into the sawteeth of the keeper. I gave up on getting them in from the top. Keep a magnet handy to fish everything you drop out of the bottom of the door. Band aids are a good idea too for the back of your hands when you are through. Nice arrangement by the Jeep engineers!

Option 2:
The "alligator looking thing" pushes in from the top.
Remove the window outer rubber from the door.
Use needle nose plyer to position them, thin end of wedge facing down.
Roll window down complete
Use flat screwdriver and push in completely from the top.
