I installed the v8 poly mounts in my 6cyl mounts. Think i am the only one who has ever done it and documented it. Almost no more vibrations than stock. Then I also yanked out my 42re and installed a nv3550

Much more responsive to the throttle instead of having power going into movement of the motor. The difference is that the poly inserts are twice as much material than the brown dog mounts or the universal poly mounts that you make yourself.

I love my Brown-Dog poly mounts in my 4.0. Feels firm and sporty, not "bad" at all. I hear the 2.5 is a no go though.

What are these vibrations you speak of? I too have Brown-Dog poly mounts on my 4.0 and an Energy Suspension trans mount and the thing runs smooth.

Yep - my experience as well. A sporty feel is the best descriptor. It feels like a tighter package with the poly mounts.
