I think this is the same thing we just had to replace... the elbow coming from the end of the fuel rail to the rigid tubing was deteriorated & cracked something aweful. Here is a pic

Am I right?

Yes you are right! That is indeed the FPR (fuel pressure regulator) in your pic.

I'm about to change my FPR on 93 YJ 2.5...Any tips?

Need to Change mine too. Any tips before I do this?

On a XJ? The FPR is in the tank on the pump.

I have a 91 YJ too. I should have clarified.

It takes 10 minutes. Relieve the fuel pressure by pushing the valve on the rail. remove the vacuum line. Take out the mounting bolt. remove the old one, put the new one in. Tighten bolt and put the vacuum line back on.

Removed mine from fuel rail and discovered it was pretty clogged with little bits of black rubber. Uh oh... Ordered a new one from hesco and oops, did not seat properly. Seems my fuel rail accepts an older style fpr with a straight neck, not the newer one with a molded ring along the base. Hesco sent another one, same problem. Ended up giving to a buddy. Had to special order the correct unit from dodge dealer, ugh $$.

Replaced all fuel lines and she runs better than ever. Added an in line spin on fuel filter making filter changes a breeze

Now to resolve cold start issues and crank to cam correlation fault... It's always something
