where to get the gears?

where is the cheapest place to buy gears and also who makes the best SYE kit that uses the 241 shaft?

also anybody heard anything about the tom woods kit that comes with the SYE and the cv driveshaft for $400?

Two good places to start are www.randysringandpinion.com and www.drivetraindirect.com

As far as gear makes, most prefer orignal Dana/Spicer gears which are more on the expensive side. Beyond that, Precision (this is what DTD carrys) makes a pretty good/popular gear.

Yea, i've heard of the tom woods kit. No first hand experience but i hear lots of good things about them... should be a solid kit. Also, check www.jbconversions.com for another SYE.
