It is not on the front but you get the idea, as far as theft, they would have to take my spare off and they need a two different wheel locks to get that off.

Here's what I use. I don't have it locked. People around here usually go for car audio equipment. I've already lost 1 cdplayer. It has a hole in the stud for a padlock if you wish, though.

Isn't that kinda tough to get to when you really need it? I think I'd rather chance getting it taken.

Mounted behind the driver seat on the roll bar, with bungies. I plan on securing it soon.

i made mine out of a couple of peices of angle, a couple of bolts and wash, and then used lug nuts to hold it on. that way i always have a couple of spares if needed.
then i mounted it behind the rear seat to save space as i have a winch on the front.

well after a lot of riding and a lot of bouncing from my tire carrier, I took it apart and replaced everything inside the Jeep... Here is what I did!

on the rear tire carrier

go some easy unscrew knobs from ACE and i figured that the only time i will need my hi-lift i will usually need my tire as well so having it mounted behind the tire is no big deal.
