Where to buy Motorcraft 2150

Hello fellow Jeepers,
I have read all the information about the Motorcraft 2150 upgrade and decided I want to do it. Now I found the "Ebay guy" everyone seems to be getting their carb from and I have a concern about it.

How can he sell "NEW" carbs when I am unable to find a single new Motorcraft 2150 for sale anywhere?

I did find a rather sketchy chinese company selling knock offs that worries me some.

Can anyone who has dealt with "ehrmannmp" from ebay confirm that they received a "NEW" carb?

If so I'll buy it from him, but if he's selling cleaned up junk yard carbs I'm really not interested in paying $300 for it.

Please keep the post to fact and not opinion. I really just want to hear from people who have actually ordered a carb from this guy. Thanks!

Don't worry about new or used, works the same. It's not technically new. Rebuilt and painted. Order from ebay guy but be ready to tune it. There are tons of threads on this, you may search and find a lot of useful info. His product is good, support and "pre-tuned" settings not so much.

I got mine from the ebay guy a couple years ago and haven't any problems at all. It was pretty straight forward to install.

Prolly have to tune but the eBay guy doesn't have your engine in his defense. Vacuum is a huge key.

Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.

Thanks guys I understand how to tune most carbs and I've read most of the threads about the Motorcraft so I'll work that out.

But is it worth paying that much for a "rebuilt" carb when I "think" I can go to a junk yard pull one and rebuilt it for 1/3 of the price. I guess I'm having trouble seeing where the $300 value is in a carb that isn't new.

Maybe I'm a cheap a$$.

I got mine off Craigslist, clean, rebuild, new jets and its as good as new. you seem to know your way around carbs so I would suggest junk yard or Craigslist ...... save $$

What about this one? I doubt you'll get one cheaper and you don't even have to get dirty.

Well I looked around and couldn't find anything worth going after. So I caved and pulled out the plastic to purchase the 2150 kit from the ebay guy. We shall see what $300 is worth.

I personally know the Ebay carb guy his shop is an hour from me. He's rebuilt 3 carbs for me and has done a great job.

Awesome that's what I like to hear. I contacted him to confirm it was new and he got back to me in less than an hour. So hopefully all the talk about him being unresponsive will remain in the past.
