Can anyone tell me why when I am driving at night and roll my manual crank windows down my headlights turn out??????

Could also be a clogged cat if it has to cool off before it will run again.

Don't know why everyone is messing around.

It would most likely be one or two different things. Either you have two different gear ratios in the front and rear axles. Or your transfer case shifter linkage isn't allowing you to shift into 4 lo and you think your 4lo when your actually in 4hi.

Since your still on the OBD1 system you should check your codes to see what shows up. Sounds like your engine may have some other issues related or unrelated to the 4wd problem.

But your post doesn't make much sense and you didn't provide us with good information.
Teach yourself about your jeep and provide us more info. Such as engine size, trans type, transfer case type. What your trying to do and what is happening.
