wheel spacers

Anyone use them? I've got 31" tires with no lift and they rub when I turn the wheel all the way. I'm planning on doing a 3" lift when I have some extra cash, but in the meantime I'm thinking of using the spacers. My worry is that some sites I've checked say they're not safe, that they can break. Is this very likely?

You can adjust your steering so that your tires don't hit your springs, too bad at the moment i don't recall how you do it, I'm sure someone else can advise. I run 33.12.50x15 on 15x10 wheels and I dont hit the springs.

31s on stock rims will rub on the brake hoses as well. spacers are not a wise idea, unless you prefer 3 wheeling over 4 wheeling
the spacers can cause the studs to torque right off. plus, why spend money on a spacer when washers do the same thing? hehe. so yeah, look into different wheels with an offset that will work for you better. some good info here:

Ugly,

I have checked into the prices of spacers like those .. its actually cheaper for us Canadians to get new off-set rims than it is to get them spacers ..

Crazy, eh?

As far as using washers as spacers, its not recommended as it causes alot of un-due stress on the studs.

As far as adjusting your turn radius so that your tires no longer rub, take a look at your front axle .. right near the axle U-joints. You should see a bolt-head sitting there, looking like it does nothing.

Turn your wheels to full lock, and you should notice that the bolt-head is touching the main body of your axle housing. That is the stop-bolt that you need to turn out. Repeat proceedure for the other side ..
