What's Your YJ MPG?

What are your MPG's?

1993
4.0L
33's and 3.55 gears.

Since I've started keeping track, I've averaged 14.6 MPG. Mixed driving (city, highway, trail).

I'm better than this...

Ouch. Lol city driving is rough though. Especially on a manual.

I would like to have that app on my smart phone. It looks handy! I'm going to look for it after I enter my post

I have a 1988 YJ with a 1993 XJ 4.0 HO, stock 1993 YJ in-tank fuel pump, 1988 XJ AW4 auto overdrive trans, 1988 XJ NP242 transfer case, 1988 XJ D35/D30 stock axles loaded with 3.07 gears, Big Foot AT 31-10.50LT15 tires, Smittybilt XRC front and rear bumpers, Warn 9500 winch.

My average MPG is 17.5 (city and hughway) thanks to my OD and highway geared axles.

But, I do have issues keeping it at 65 on the passes without it having to drop down to 2nd gear. I will post on my thread what my mileage is after I swap out the axles for a set of 4.10's.

And that app is called gas cubby.its got a free version but I jumped for the full app. It's been worth it to use it religiously.

Edit: normally around 270-280ish and I drive it like a grandpa.

Average with 87 octane and mostly non highway rural - 22. Best was 24 keeping in under 65 and drafting a semi trailer. Just added a Banks Monster cat back and will see if it does better.

I get around 8-9 city , I have 33's on 3.08 gears and a cammed 4.2l that sounds like a little tractor when there's no cat on it...

Freeway I haven't tested it out since I can't get faster than 65 and that's struggling in 4th... So I just stay 55 everywhere I go .. In town I cruise 35... So it's a guessing game

1990 yj 350 small block chevy .60 over .490 lift cam, headers, 600 cfm carb 10:1 compression

ax-15 transmission, 3.73 gear ratio, 32 inch falken rocky mountain ats tires

2.5 inch total lift

I get about 6-7mpg city mostly because warming up the engine before you set off

I could probably pull off 15mpg highway though if you don't factor in the morning warm up
