what's the best/strongest way to reinforce the rear frame?

For mounting a heavy bumper with tire carrier to a YJ, what is the best way to reinforce the rear frame of a YJ?
frame reinforcement kits which you either weld and/or bolt on to the existing frame and rear crossmember?

beefing up the existing rear crossmember?

or removing the rear crossmember and replacing it altogether with a heftier version?

Here's mine, very, very strong.

bolts and tabs top and bottom of the frame.

I offset the bumper so my gas cans would fit.

I just welded my new rear bumper straight to the frame rails. My bumper is my rear cross member
