88 here. I'll always fondly remember learning all about Peugeot transmissions, then finding out I had one!

I mentioned "Weber" in the TJ section a while back, someone replied "What is this Weber you keep talking about"? I forget some younger guys never had to deal with a carb!

From what I have been told, Chrysler was just using up what AMC had left in stock before they started using Chrysler components. It was phased in slowly. 1st, the change to the AX15 and the NP231. Next was the switch to the 4.0l FI.

It was mentioned earlier, the YJ was AMC design....only the later years with Chrysler components. The TJ is alllllll Chrysler.

It is interesting how few 87 owners have chimed in.

BRAND NEW YJ WRANGLER!

Only $11,850.oo, plus tax, lic. and doc. fees.

Who want's one???

Now that I have your attention, LOL. I was watching an old VHS tape the other day. After awhile I forgot it was a tape and a Jeep commercial came on for a new Jeep YJ Wrangler. I started cracking up when I saw the price and realized the tape was still on. I think it was a '93 or '94?

Back on topic... I guess since were bragg'n on our own rigs... '92 here. First year w/family style cage. woohoo.
