So it doesn't have an engine in it right now? if yes then I would be very careful with this jeep. I mean it looks like from the specs that somebody has but some time and effort into it but I would do a title search on it and make sure it is not a salvaged title. I wonder why would some change cages from one stock one to another stock one? Usually people change the older one for the newer family cage or they change out thier stock cage for a full cage.
It is hard to put a price tag on a vehicle that you can not even test drive. How much is he asking for it? That is another reason I would be careful because you can't test drive and see if the thing engage into 4wd or if the arbs work or not. what kind of compressor does he have in it? what gears does he have in the diffs?

You misunderstood... this is MY Jeep...
I put alot of time effort and money into it... everything works... except the motor...which died this morning... I just need to take a break... wallet is empty lol... I am just seeing what a fair asking price would be... here is a pic of it. It is the one on the back. ![]() |

Oh.. it is not a salvage title... and I changed to the old style bars because I have no kids and I like that look better... the family bars went to a guy who had kids and needed the bars to run with his kids at the dunes.

my bad....You have a nice setup it is ashame that you are going to get rid of it now. I know I have not done as much stuff to mine and I would get screwed on trying to sell it.
That is what sucks about doing all this stuff you never can get back out of it what you put in. You probably already know this but your best bet would be putting the stock stuff back on and trying to sell your upgrade stuff. Those axles could pull you alot more money by themselves than on your jeep. that is a good upgrade for cj's.

The bad part is I dont have the stock stuff so I would be spending money to put it back to stock
so it almost defeats the purpose...... |

It is worthless.... but I'll give you $100 for it ...
![]() seriously though... that's really too bad... if you need the cash, then you will most likely take a hit in an attempt to sell it, otherwise I would hang on to it until you can get it fixed...is the other Jeep on the trailer yours too? With all your upgrades, it might be worth it to do an engine swap and then either sell the other one or take your time fixing it (since it would be out of the vehicle anyway)...when you say the motor "died" ...can you be more specific? Did it seize up?

No the other Jeep is my buddies... and i have decided to keep it... Im not hurting for money so to let it sit won't hurt anything until I can find a decent 4.0 to put in it while I stroke the one that is in it. It threw a rod while driving on the freeway. Last year I had it in some deep water and had to pull the spark plugs and turn the motor over to get the water out. I think I may have stress fractured one of the rods at that point and it finally just let go.
