what Tranny do I have?

Here is a newbie question..... I have an 88 stock, with the 4.2 engine, by looking at the sticky and the stock specs on here, I see there is a couple of option on transmisions I can have... how do I know the one I have on mine?

Apologies but I am really new to the mechanical side of cars, have owned so many cars but never tinkered with them, and I am enjoying it more than ever, just the learning curve is huge!

Automatic or manual? If manual you have the BA-10.

If its the stock transmission, you have the BA-10/5.
