What are these axles worth?

I am putting some 1 tons into my YJ so my current axles will be up for sale. The problem is that I dont know what they are worth. I have a Dana 44 front with 4.88s, detroit, hysteer, and less than 1000 miles on a complete rebuild (including brakes). For the rear I have a AMC 20 with 4.88s and a spool. It also has new brakes on it. They both have BTF covers. They are also set up for SOA. So, what do you guys think there worth?

You forgot to mention a bunch of stuff.

EG:

Is it one of the vacuum disco D44s?
Is it a drivers drop D44?
Is the D44 low pinion, or high pinion?
What hubs are on the D44?
What yokes are the axles set-up for?
Do either axles have chromo shafts?
Does the D44 run the same 297 series ujoints like some YJ's?
What bolt pattern is the D44/AMC 20?
Does the AMC 20 have the undesireable two piece axle shafts?
Is the AMC 20 from a narrow CJ?
Who's hysteer?
Is the spool a full spool, or mini spool?
Are both axles set-up to be the same width?
Do the wheels come with it since they won't work on your other axles?

My guess is that anybody who'd be interested would want to know all these things, plus more.

Non vacuum disco
Drivers drop
Low pinion
Not sure on the hubs but I think that are Warn
I dont know the yoke size, but I am using a stock 4 cyl shaft in the front
Stock shafts with 297 joints
6 on 5.5
AMC 20 has 1 piece shafts (out of a wagoneer)
Full spool
I would even include the wheels and tires for a little more money(37X12.50 MTRs on some aluminum 15X10)

I will be doing this swap in the next couple of months and I am just trying to find a reasonable asking price to off set the price of the swap.

They are worth what it means to you to get 'em outta yer sight, and how much you might wanna help somebody else in a bind... I've read on these forums where some guys give 'em away, and some guys ask five hundred bux. It just depends, and there's no pat answer to yer question.

Were it me, I'd keep 'em around a little while to see if anybody wanted 'em, and if so, I'd probably give 'em away just to keep my yard neat and organized. If nobody wanted 'em after five, six months, I'd load 'em up and take 'em to my local metal recycler aka automotive junkyard. I did just that when I converted my '65 Chevy pickup to four wheel drive...there were some choice parts like chrome hubcaps and custom wheels that I gave away... the rest of the junk I took to the junkyard, and the proprietor was happy to see them... since then, I've gotten some pretty good parts from him for zip.

So, there ya go... who knows what's right for you? Be bold, set a price that feels good to ya, and go for it!

They're worth absolutely nothing! And I'll be a great guy and take them off your hands for free.

Truthfully...I have a set of stock Waggy 44's that I paid $300 for that I am rebuilding...pretty much like you have there. I expect that I will be spending close to $1000 on each axle to get them to that point. I bet you could get minimum $1500 for the set...but thats just me.

Post them up on Pirate. You will get more attention off of them. I'd say in the 750$ range. More if you can get it out of them but to sell them quick to help with your build (if they were mine) that's what I would ask. But there is someone out there that would love to have them I'm sure of that.

I paid $950 for a Super 30 Front and a Super 35 Rear, ARB's F&R, Chromo shafts all around, CTM Joints, 4.56's, and Warn Diff Armor. The Rear needs to be rebuilt.

I'd guess you could expect about the same. The ARB's definitely add value to mine, but yours are ready to bolt in and mine need work.

See.......Ya never know. They could bring 1500 or more. It's all about who wants them and what they have to pay for them. Everyone I have ever tried to sell **** to is a broke ***. So I end up giving it to them.
