What's the voltage ?

What should the voltage reading be at the injector on an '87 2.5 with TBI. Mine reads 3.57 is this correct?

You should have 12 volts. You need to test it with your meter ground to the body our negative battery.

Thanks que

Just saw your info on the voltage. Would you have any idea why it would be so low? I rechecked it as you said. One side I get no reading and the other I get 3.60 volts. If it is a ground, where should I start looking? So far I've replaced the external in line fuel filter, injector (which I took off and put old one back on b/c it did exact same thing) blew out return line and all ports on TB. I found a used TB complete on eBay and ordered it and am just waiting for it to install. But if its voltage issue I don't know where to look. Thank you for any knowledge you can instill on me to solve this.

Do a meter check by measuring the battery. Check the voltage with just ignition on not running. Make site your meter is set to dc voltage.

You sure about that ? Are we talking the 5 volt reference that is common to each injector or the signal from the ECM ?

D, I owe you a call and I think something else but for the life of me I cannot recall what it was............

Voltage/Fuel and who knows

Que,
I checked the voltage on the throttle body injector and when grounded to frame get a 3.6 reading with only ignition on not running. When I check across injector connection I get 3.57. Can I run a 12v feed from ignition and splice into injector connection?

reply to Que

Yes, battery voltage is 12.6v. Could I run a 12v source from on position and tap into injector connection?
