ihave the carr light bar on mine. it looks pretty good. when your putting it on you set it to the hight you like it. and i suggest using self tappers for instilation instead of the hardware they give you. This way its just drill and go and no cutting. That is if you get this one. its relitivly cheap too

I don't like the look of light bars on anything. Especially when the guy behind me has them all blazing in my mirror on a night run.
They'll get torn off by the trees soon enough though.

Cool, took awhile to get the answer, but all in all, I will try that...may try that low profile one just above.

only if you drive like a maniac

long range lights suck on the bumper, work OK on the windshield and work best ontop the windshield.

driving lights are best on the bumper, the most useless location is on the windshield.

I have 4 long range lights above my windshield, been there for 2 years now, I knocked more lights off having them mounted on the bumper then I ever have with them above the windshield.

bumper location cost me 3 pairs, lightbar ontop the windshield has cost me 0 pairs of lights and they work better up there.

I'd go with the windshield hinge mounted lights, I'm putting mine on next week or so when they get here.

I picked up a Carr bar with KC daylighters used on Craiglist. I use them on the beach. Not everyone uses their jeep the same. Haven't had an issue in the woods yet either.

What top? I run a bikini top and just rotate the light bar. It would be the same with a soft top.

Its not bad, I had the same light bar with the hardtop and never had any trouble. Carr also has the rotabar which looks just like the one windsoreight has but can be flipped down. I just picked up a used one and plan to put it on soon, should allow me to get the jeep in the garage if I need to now with out unbolting the thing everytime.
