I get about 14 MPG (lead foot!). See sig for mods, etc. I've heard that you can increase your MPG up to 15% by adding 2 oz of acetone per 10 gallons of gasoline to your tank.

http://www.pureenergysystems.com/news/2005/03/17/6900069_Acetone/

I've tried it. I think it maybe helped by like adding one or two more MPG. Haven't done the math yet to see if it is worth $6 per quart.

my day consists of city/hghwy driving and I average 18-20. I have not burned a full tank on just city, and or highway so I can not give you city only and highway only numbers.

I get 18-20MPG with mostly highway driving from my 93 YJ with 4.0L/5 speed. I have a K&N filter, 60mm throttle body, and a ported cylinder head.

I get approximately 13 MPG on an 89 YJ with the I-6. I have 4.56 gears and 32's, which is part of the problem.

The only test i have is that for 25 miles in the city, and 90 hwy....19.75mpg
I think thats pretty good for an old wornout 4.2L with a factory carb that isnt tuned properly. (i was idling at about 1300RPM).

do a search, i think there was a thread like this about a month maybe two ago

I think I get 18-22 MPG on my 91 4.0 Automatic. It's pretty much stock, but I recently put in a cone filter, and have semi synthetic oil, new cap, roter, wires, Bosch 2 plugs, and a new serpentine belt. This weekend I am changing out the stock radiator, thermostat, water pump, and all the hoses for a three core after market replacement and higher end aftermarket pump.

I also have a soft top on it as well.
