What to get EL-12 relay from for led tail lights?

Apparently when you do the led tail Light conversions n the stock flasher no longer works. I read I need an electronic flasher an EL-12 I believe. I am going to swing by auto zone today and was wondering if anyone knows what vehicle I should give them so I get the right flasher?

Thanks

Tyler

I went to Autozone, went to the blinker section, grabbed the EL-12 flasher, paid and walked out.

Went home, installed, and it worked fine.

Others might of had a different experience.

EL-12 is essentially the "part number". If you don't see it on the shelf tell them you need an EL12 electronic flasher and they can get it for you. Anytime they ask me something stupid like "what's it from" when I give them a part number I say, "Doesn't matter, I need part number XXXXXX".

When I got the EL-12 flasher they asked what my vehicle was and everything, but I don't think it really matters.

I put LED tails on my yj and didn't need the relay. I remember reading about needing the relay and just installed them without one to see if they would work. Not sure why I didn't need it, but my LEDS work fine without it.

Ok wanted to tie this one off. I went into autozone found the EL-12 on the shelf. Popped the old one out the new one in and walah! Perfectly working LED tail lights fully equipped with blinkers. I am just chomping at the bit to turn a corner so I can use them and show them off. I even tap the brakes from time to time to show everyone how cool my tail lights are.

This mod is worth every penny!
